Welcome to the St. Peter Area Food Shelf website. By using stpeterfoodshelf.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. In these terms, "we," "us," and "our" mean St. Peter Area Foodshelf Inc. ("SPAF").

1. Who we are

St. Peter Area Foodshelf Inc. is a nonprofit organization in St. Peter, Minnesota. We provide supplemental food, necessities, and connections to community resources for neighbors in need. Our office is at 201B South Third Street, St. Peter, MN 56082.

2. Using this site

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as learning about our services, scheduling help, donating, or volunteering. You agree not to:

Use the Site for anything unlawful or harmful
Try to access parts of the Site or its systems you are not authorized to use
Interfere with the Site's operation, including by uploading viruses or other harmful code
Submit false information through our forms
Copy or scrape the Site for commercial use

3. Information on this site

We work to keep the Site accurate, but hours, eligibility guidelines, programs, and closures can change without notice. Information is provided for general purposes only and is not legal, medical, nutritional, or financial advice.

For the most current information, call us at 507-934-9641 or check our Facebook page. Weather and holiday closures are posted there first.

4. Food assistance and services

Visiting the Site does not schedule an appointment or guarantee service. Appointments are made by phone during appointment line hours. Eligibility, service area, and visit frequency are described on our Food Assistance page and may change based on available resources.

We serve everyone with dignity and respect. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, or any other protected status.

5. Donations

All donations are voluntary. Online gifts are processed by PayPal, a third-party payment provider, and are subject to PayPal's terms and privacy policy. We do not store your full card or bank information.

St. Peter Area Foodshelf Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 41-1761515). Donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law; please consult your tax advisor. Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us within 30 days at info@stpeterfoodshelf.com.

Donated food and goods become the property of SPAF. We may distribute, share with partner agencies, or otherwise use donated items as needed to serve the community.

6. Volunteers

Volunteer applications and shift sign-ups are handled through third-party tools such as Google Forms and SignUpGenius. Submitting an application does not guarantee placement. Volunteers may be asked to follow additional policies, training, and safety guidelines.

7. Links to other websites

The Site links to outside organizations, such as government agencies, partner nonprofits, and news articles, to help you find resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. A link does not mean we endorse the organization or its products.

8. Photos, content, and trademarks

The text, photos, logos, and graphics on the Site belong to SPAF or are used with permission. You may share links to our pages and short excerpts with credit to the St. Peter Area Food Shelf. Please do not use our name or logo to suggest an endorsement or partnership without our written permission.

9. Things you send us

If you send us comments, stories, photos, or suggestions, you allow us to use them to support our mission, such as on our website or social media. We will not publish your name or identifying details without your permission.

10. Privacy

We respect your privacy. Information you share with us, including during visits, is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Personal information shared during food shelf visits is used to serve you and report anonymous service statistics, and is never sold.

11. No warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that the Site will always be available, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, SPAF, its board, staff, and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content, or from any third-party site linked from it.

13. Indemnification

You agree to hold harmless SPAF, its board, staff, and volunteers from claims arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Nicollet County, Minnesota.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated terms.
