Extension Service helps St. Peter Area Food Shelf spruce up

Tom Polich’s positive impression of St. Peter Area Food Shelf has been enhanced since viewing the emergency pantry’s recent transformation into a more inviting space for shoppers.

“It reminds me of a co-op or a farmers market,” said Polich, who works at Region Nine Development Commission.

The food shelf, with a 40-plus years experience in helping food-insecure people, showed off its spruced-up space to the public on Tuesday.
